Work & Play

This is KNS, where I've begun work! I like it a lot!

This is Bo'ai, a main road that runs N and S through Kaohsiung.

A quick pose at a stoplight.

A Big Surprise: Anthony Johnson

Kathryn and I were very surprised Wednesday night when we ran into a good friend of mine that I met in Argentina, Anthony Johnson. We were attending a weekly Bible study and there Anthony was... very strange, but God had it all planned out! He teaches English in South Korea and was on a random vacation to Taiwan. He was being very adventurous, travelling solo, and going to places where he knew no one (except me, that is). We had such a good two days. What a blessing to see an old friend before I start work for real!

We enjoyed many scooter rides about Kaohsiung City. We did a little bit of exploring.
Ansy (pictured left, on the right), another OMF partner here in the city, has become a fast friend to us both!

Colby has a job!

UPDATE: We are now both officially employed. Kathryn is working for Joy Language School, and I will be working at KNS Language Institute. Kathryn begins teaching on Monday and I begin training on Monday. We are so thankful to the Lord! Please keep us in your prayers!

One in a Million in "Scooter Kingdom"

Kaohsiung supposedly is the city with the 2nd most scooters in the entire world. I definitely agree, although its hard to imagine there being any more scooters than this!

Our Favorite: Pu Tao Yo

This here is our favorite drink in Taiwan thus far. It is called Pu Tao Yo (Grapefruit juice). This particular store adds a lot of real grapefruit pieces on top of the already great juice!

Here Kathryn is displaying the amazing Grapefruit consistency.

It's so refreshing on these hot, humid days!

We have a Scooter!

This is our scooter! We got it yesterday from
another OMF partner who left for the US
and Korea. It's a Duke 150cc.

New Friends & a Taiwanese Wedding

(L to R) Kat, Ansy, Tony, Christine, Iris, Carmen

We met Christine and Tony once at New Life Baptist Church
and they invited us to their wedding and reception.
There was an amazing 11-course meal that included:
lobster, crab, snow fish, chicken, soup, pudding, eel, rice, etc.
